Job Summary:
The Supply Chain Analyst will play a key role in analyzing and optimizing the supply chain processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall performance. The incumbent will be responsible for conducting comprehensive data analysis, identifying opportunities for improvement, and providing actionable insights to support decision-making within the supply chain department. The Supply Chain Analyst will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including procurement, logistics, and operations, to ensure the smooth flow of goods and services throughout the supply chain network.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
2. Conduct cost analysis and provide recommendations to optimize procurement processes, inventory management, and overall supply chain operations.
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies to streamline supply chain processes and enhance overall operational efficiency.
4. Identify and assess potential risks within the supply chain, develop mitigation strategies, and implement contingency plans.
5. Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, ensuring compliance with contractual agreements and quality standards.
6. Prepare regular reports and presentations for management, highlighting key supply chain metrics, performance indicators, and areas for improvement.
7. Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, new technologies, and best practices in supply chain management.
8. Support the implementation and utilization of supply chain management software systems to enhance data accuracy, reporting capabilities, and decision-making processes.
9. Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and monitor supply chain performance.
10. Stay updated with industry regulations, compliance requirements, and economic factors that may impact the supply chain function.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Economics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
2. Proven experience as a Supply Chain Analyst or in a similar analytical role within the supply chain function.
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
4. Proficiency in data analysis software (e.g., Excel, SQL) and supply chain management tools.
5. Solid understanding of supply chain principles, including procurement, transportation, inventory management, and demand planning.
6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively present complex information to stakeholders.
7. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
8. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data analysis and reporting.
9. Collaborative team player with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
10. Knowledge of industry best practices, emerging trends, and technological advancements in supply chain management.
